F.A.Q.

CAN I PACK PERSONAL ITEMS IN MY VEHICLE?

You should not pack items in your vehicle for several reasons. First, items packed in your vehicle are not covered under the carrier’s insurance. Second, the more items loaded in the vehicle, the more the vehicle will weigh. Trucks must remain under a certain weight; if they are found to be overweight they can face penalties and fines. Due to this many carriers will not accept vehicles packed with additional items or they may charge an additional fee.

If it is imperative for you to pack additional items in your vehicle, be sure to keep them lightweight, secured, and out of sight if possible. Make sure you notify your auto transport company if you plan to pack additional items in your vehicle, this will ensure that you will not be charged unexpected additional fees.

I’M UNABLE TO BE THERE AT TIME OF DELIVERY, IS THAT OK?

If you are unable to attend the delivery that is okay, however someone must be appointed to be there in your place. A person must be present to inspect the vehicle and sign the inspection report. If you are unable to attend the delivery, call your auto transport company and let them know the name of the person who will be receiving the vehicle.

IM SHIPPING AN OPEN CARRIER, WILL MY CAR GET DIRTY?

When you receive your vehicle it will probably need a visit to the local car wash. You can expect the same amount of dirt as if you had driven the vehicle to its destination. This is due to the fact that open carriers do not protect vehicles from weather and dirt from the road. If it is necessary that your vehicle arrive in pristine condition, an enclosed carrier would be a much better option since it will protect the vehicle from road debris.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY AUTO TRANSPORT?

We recommend booking your auto transfer at least 1 week in advance. We are sometimes able to accommodate last minute transports or even same day pick up, but in order to ensure your auto relocation is completed on time, at least 1 week notice is highly suggested.

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY AUTO TRANSFER?

The total cost will be split into two separate payments. The first payment is a deposit charged to a credit card, which we run after the vehicle has been picked up. For the deposit we will accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal. The remaining balance is due when your vehicle is delivered. This payment will need to be in the form of certified funds (certified checks, money orders or cash). Since we do not charge the credit card until after the vehicle is in transit there are no upfront fees. Be very wary of companies that want to charge you something before they have done anything.

HOW CAN I ENSURE MY VEHICLE ARRIVES IN THE SAME CONDITION?

A detailed condition report of the exterior of your vehicle will be performed by the carrier at pick up. Make sure at delivery you compare the condition of your vehicle with the report made at pick up. Be sure to note any discrepancies on the carrier’s paperwork at the time of delivery. Claims not noted on the carriers delivery receipt will not be honored.

IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

Yes it is. If we receive prior notification before the car has been dispatched to a driver you will not be charged and you will have no out of pocket expense. However, If we have already dispatched it to a driver you initial deposit will be NON-REFUNDABLE.

CAN I TRACK MY SHIPMENT OR GET A SHIPMENT UPDATE?

Yes. Tracking of your vehicle is done by phone and/or email during business hours.
